Just finished the first photo-shoot with Jess. We did the shoot in a rented suite, which was ideal for glamor and boudoir shots. Full gallery will be available soon.

Angela is a model from Lincoln, Nebraska. She is absolutely fantastic to work with. Although we initially planned for an outdoor photo-shoot, weather issues forced us to change the idea. We used two backgrounds, two soft-boxes (equipped with strobes) and wireless triggered flash-lights for this shoot. The complete gallery will be available later here. Angela's Facebook fan page is here. ![]() This was the second studio photo-shoot I did this year, and the first with Tima. Everything went perfectly as planned and we ended up taking lot of great images. For this photo-shoot I used two background setups, a white vinyl and red muslin. Lights were studio strobes and Nikon SB series flash lights (through soft boxes and umbrellas). The weather is still not good for any outdoor photo-shoots, but we plan to have a complete portfolio with outdoor and fashion shots pretty soon. ![]() Yesterday morning we did our first photo-shoot for this year with beautiful Tye, a model from Lincoln, NE. She showed up well ahead of scheduled time which gave us much needed extra time for preparations, setup two places with lighting, and to discuss about plans for the shoot. She was absolutely amazing to work with. This was also the first shoot I used my brand new Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G ED lens*. This is a very good lens, especially to use with studio lights, and tight spaces - like my studio which is small. Almost the entire shoot was done using this lens, except for few shots with 35mm prime, and I am pretty happy with the results. Focusing is very sharp, and fast. I had VR turned off all the time because I was never below 1/125s shutter speed. The other equipment used for the shoot included Nikon 35mm f/2.0 D, Westcott/Photobasics strobes & softboxes, backdrops (muslin), and three Nikon SB series flashes. The full gallery will be available here soon. *I was debating between this and Zeiss Distagon T* 25mm f/2.0 ZF. Wish you all a very Happy New Year!
I managed to update the web site little bit during holidays and add a new profile page for Natalie. I have several more shoots, with new models, scheduled for next few weeks. All would be indoors/studio because the weather is VERY cold here these days. However, I am planning on doing a Winter outdoor shoot if I could find the adventurous model for the job :) Anyone would like to try something like this, please let me know. Yes, I'm serious!! Have a great start to the new year everybody!! ![]() After a few months break, we decided to do a shoot this weekend. Hair, makeup, wardrobe, etc., etc., all went according to the plan, and we managed to make very good pictures. This one, “Holly in yellow” is one of the first to come out of post-processing. For this shoot, we had two separate setups, dark and light backgrounds, with two sets of lighting. This is the first time I used the new Savage backdrop (white) and it is perfect! I'll post more pictures from this shoot in "Model-Portfolio" section, later. Update: Pictures from this shoot are here.
